What's the best software out there for art/photoshop? Price doesn't matter.

the top of the line products would obviously be photoshop. These programs are quite expensive, but they are pretty amazing utilities. The only thing is Photoshop takes awhile to learn and it won't work on older computers. An alternative that i've found useful is Jasc Paint Shop Pro. It's easier to use than Photoshop, and works with less memory. The downside is that it's not QUITE as advanced as Photoshop, but it is still my favorite of the two.

I use - well, I have Adobe PhotoShop CS2 and ImageReady as well as Paint Shop Pro v10 - but, I suck with both of them. They seem to be great art/image editing software if you know how to use them. I believe PhotoShop runs as much as $200 and PSP is about $80 or so.

An excellent free one akin to Photoshop is called "Paint.net". It's open source, and available for download and reading about at the below link.
