Simple... you could put an extra HD in your computer, and install Vista on that. When you boot the computer, it should recognize the two OSs and ask you which one you want to boot in.

I'd wait a While until All the Bugs are Worked out of it. Personally, I'm not buying it until I buy a Brand New System, that's Actually Designed for Vista. Chances are, when Upgrading, there's going to be Drivers, Hardware, etc. that are not going to be Compatible. And Lastly, why bother Upgrading until 64-bit is the Standard. Any system that's going to have to Juggle both 32 and 64 bit, is going to have bugs... a lot of Bugs. Sort of When Microsoft came out with Windows 95. The Majority of the Problems with that was the Juggling of 16 and 32 bit drivers and programs.
Bottom Line: What, and then Buy it on PC with a 64bit Processor.

If you still have the original install disk for windows xp or whatever version you have, you should be able to delete out windows vista and reinstall the the windows xp. It might even replace the windows vista program too when reinstalling your other version. Just a guess but I know the upgrades overwrite the older versions, you would think it would happen if you wanted to go back to an older version too.

I've upgraded to a beta edition once, I faild to goback to my old os. I format the harddriver and reinstall the previous one.
Honestly, vista is a good OS but you need time to be customed with it. If you are a PC fans or always enjoying new things, you can go can try. Otherwise you could wait until everything is ready for the vista, avoiding any hardware or software problems.

whilst I agree that Vista might nicely be universal surprisingly much as good or greater effectual than XP, at the instant that is ridden with bugs. i might advise wait a 300 and sixty 5 days or a sprint greater until at last Microsoft releases the SP1 (provider %. a million) for Vista and then leap directly to it, coz optimistically lots of the usually encountered bugs may well be resolved via then.

Sure - you can just re-install MSWXPMCE. And yes, Vista is as bad as you've heard!

Yes, just install your previous version of Windows or use system restore. (Can't gaurantee system restore will work, and you have to know what you're doing.)
