Is the new M.S. windows Vista relly any good? I want feedback from vista people out there.
And one more things.
What is next to windows vista out there? Right now I'm running Windows XP Professional SP3 O.S. fully and want to know is there any thing higher? Do you think I should do an in-place upgrade of Windows Vista Home Premium or should I do a clean install? If I do a clean install, how do I back up my software the was pre-installed on my Windows XP computer? I already ran Ad-aware, spybot, an antivirus, and windows registry repair. I did also registry patrol ( i keep getting more problems here than in windows registry but I dont want to buy another one of these plus I not sure if it just tells in order to buy it)


Anyways I open Eventviewer and a get error on DHCP (1002) and service control manager (7000)

Does it have to do with that??? Or anything else I might do??

I want to burn about 3 or 4 episodes of Rome Season 2 so i can watch them on my DVD player. They are approx. 350MB and in AVi format. I used to use DVD Santa for this but it seem to error out as of lately. Anybody have other suggestions I can use?

Hi I just transfered my VCD's to my computer and I'm trying to break it into bits.
I tried importing the MPEGAV (Which is where the actual Movie is) file into windows movie maker but it didn't work for me.
Please can someone tell me how to convert a DAT file into a MPG file. I've been trying to do this for ages and I'm getting upset because it's not working for me.

The OS I use is Windows XP Pro with SP2. A lot of programs that I have installed on my PC start in the systray when the OS boots. These programs include Anti-Viruses, firewalls, control centers for certain media players, anti-spyware tools and so on. Now, the problem is, with so many programs loading at startup, my OS loads that much more slower to begin with. I don't need all of them starting up at the same time. I'll start them when I need them, thank you! So how do I customize the list that decides what programs to start at startup?
