I've just updated my media player to 11 and I want to connect to an online music store in order to download music but it only gives me a choice of about 6 stores, does anyone know if theres any way of adding stores that aren't listed? In the previous version there were about 10 different stores and I think you could also search for your own. Any ideas?? Also I've already got Itunes but I'm looking for another online store to download from that has a wide range of music and you can buy individual tracks without subscribing to monthly. Any suggestions???

i have always saved anything i download to cd, now today when i try i get the message.
"you do not have permission to to save in this directory see administrator to obtain permission"
i am the only person who uses this pc, any help welcome.

I can get into itunes but as soon as i click on something on the left menu bar, my computer freezes and then i when i reboot it doesnt get past the first screen! whats going on?
i have updated virus protection, scans everyday, i have anti spyware, scans everyday!The wierd thing is i used it for a week when i first got it (itunes) and it was fine. i didnt add anything new... and all of the sudden it doesnt work.

When trying to install new software lately, I keep getting an error "Invalid Drive E:\" - it doesn't matter what software it is, I always get the error. However, when I attach a drive to the computer (whether it's a thumb drive, my iPod, or an external hard drive), the installation completes regularly. How do I get the computer to stop "looking" for an E:\ drive, which is not normally connected to the computer?

Real answers please. Fluff will be reported. Thanks.

I need to download Shockwave Player from adobe.com but it won't let me, it says that a security dialog box will appear and you need to click install but the box does not appear! I even turned off my pop-up blocker!

I do not like windows vista, is there a way i can get xp on my new laptop? I just bought it yesterday, and had no choice but to get one with vista in it. I tried to get one before vista was released but the stores where sold out.

I hava a pc running xp the problem is when i boot up I am met with 3 options:
microsoft windows xp profesional
microsoft windows xp profesional
microsoft windows xp recovery console

I am on the understanding that there was a problem with the operating system and my friend reinstalled XP since he has done this i have these options. is there a way of getting rid of the other 2?? as i know that neither work. If these are gone then my computer will boot faster as my wirless keyboard and mouse dont work until i am booted as you can see adding another 30 secs on boot time. PLease can anyone help me to diable the other 2 options PLEEEEEEEASSSSEEEEE

my avg antivirus went mad recently and now my com takes thirty minutes to regain control over some funny err.file or something like that. and after that messages pop up saying stuff like, sorry, avg control center needs to close, avg err. file (basically a spoiled filr or smth) blah blah blah. so i uninstalled avg but the probelm was STILL there. so i went and searched "avg" and this whole long list popped out (96 things). so i happily ctr-a ed them and tried to delete but then the computer said that the system wasn't allowing me to remove it. so i went to grisoft's website to ask for help and turns out they only give tech support to people who buy the avg proffessional, not those who download the free ones.
Wow. brilliant serivce. i'm SO gonna use avg next time.
So right now what i really need to know is how to delete files no matter what write-protection they might have. thx.

OK, this legal stuff from Microsoft is getting out of hand- they want everyone to convert to Windows Vista, and to help Microsoft will intentionally place bugs into the software on Xp service pack 3. (www.Fark.com on 01/31/2007) Windows Vista will only be allowed to be installed on a computer 2 times- that is, you first buy your computer and the second time when you have a hard disk crash. (See Vistas EULA if you don't believe me)

Because of this excessive, flat out garbage I'm thinking about transfering the whole computer system to "Open Source" Linux/Red Hat. My Quesiton is how hard will it be, and will I be able to find software thats Linux but similar to what Windows can do? I'll need to "Microsoft Works" and MS Word as my "core"- will I have to change Yahoos Messenger also? What all will I have to change?

I want to re-install XP, but it keeps asking me for some CDs. I have re-installed Windows before without CDs and just using a floppy disk. Can someone tell me why it is happening and can someone help me.
I have tried to use a CD from somewhere else and it doesnt install, it comes up with a blue screen and freezes. HELP!

Im really into cloning myself in my pictures, but ive been having to do it in paintshop that comes with every computer. The quality SUCKS, and I was just wondering if anyone has found this program for free online, or even a trial. I have tried downloading the trial version, but it ended up being the regular version which doesnt allow me to take pieces of one picture and apply them to another. Is it possible to email software to another person? If so could you send it to me? Thanks in advance!

Yes, it has some flashy features, none of which are necessary to boot the PC and run programs, yes eventually you will probably have to switch to it in order to use the latest stuff (i've heard direct X 10 is supposed to only run on vista --though i doubt it) why give more money to uncle bill - just to impress your geek friends?

I did a Google search on this and found out about a function called "=SpellNumber (32.50)" but when I used that on my spreadsheet nothing happened. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I know this is the most up-to-date version of Excel (besides Vista), but that doesn't matter because the articles I found with the SpellNumber function were created prior to Vista.

I've been trying to set up my own labels (using cheap labels to save money and the sizes/styles aren't listed) which usually I've been able to do in previous versions of Word without a problem. However, despite putting in the exact measurements for the labels, they set up wrong, as the header (as in header/footer) pushes them down, so they don't sit on the page right. Does anyone know how to set up the document so that the header and footer doesn't show on the label page - or so that it doesn't have as much of an impact. Thanks
