What types of files cause this ....
When did the problem start ...
What version of Media Player are you using ...

Try to use another player. For example Free AVS DVD Player: http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/avs-dvd-player.htm or Apple QuickTime Player: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/win.html

Perhaps the buffer rate is too high. Try diff websites and see what happens.

your doing too many things at once and not giving your computer time to load or "think". Try slowing down what your doing and see what happens!
