I want to upgrade my desktop and my laptop with Windows Vista, I have checked that they are both compatible. Will I have to buy 2 upgrades, or will one cover both?

You have to buy a version that has a multi-user license. That way you can put it on different computers.

You can only use it on 1 computer. You'll need to purchase 2. The registration number only works once. There's a way around this, but it's a bit impracticle and you won't be able to use the Windows website update on 1 of the computers.

If you buy the standard edition then you will have to buy two but if you buy a multi user licensed copy then you will only have to buy one. however this will probably be more expensive. hope this helps. Andrew
