Click start , Control panel add or remove programs now here's the trick there is a little check box at the top called
"show updates" make sure it is checked,Scroll down to find media player you will see both the old one and the new click on the new one and click roll back

Control Panel
Add/Remove programs,
Find media player,
uninstall it, it will ask you to reboot, If its 11, that you are uninstalling, click no to the reboot, and uninstall the 11 tools too..
then reboot..
If that fails to uninstall like mine did, I did a system restore to yesterday, or the last one it will let you...

Go to add/remove and uninstall new wmp and it should rollback to the last version if not u can just download it again from Microsoft
