What programme do I need to run an ISO file and where can I get a free download of the programme?

An ISO file is typically for buring the file to a CD or DVD. However, winzip will open it and you can run programs from inside of the ISO file. See link below for trial copy of winzip.

.iso is usually a CD or DVD image file. Any competent burning software tool should be able to handle it (I prefer Nero). But there are other tools out there that let you extract the contents directly without having to burn a disc. Try searching for "iso extractor" programs on Google (or your favorite search engine; perhaps I should say Yahoo! instead, since they are sponsoring this).

For iso, you can use any software that can create a virtual drive.

If you have a cd/dvd burner, it might have come with nero. Try looking in the cd for anything that can install Nero ImageDrive.
