Computer shuts off completely Win98?

Once in awhile I do something wrong and hit something somewhere on the desktop and the computer proceeds to shut down and power down, and the monitor shuts off too.
Where is that setting. Windows98 on pc

You hit Alt+F4 while not in a menu. If you were in a menu, it would close that application.

Try replacing the power-strip/surge protector.
