is there anything wrong with deleting the folder that the program is in versus uninstalling it / going to the add or remove programs window in the control panel?

In a weak moment I have unfortunately upgraded to IE v7. The first user works fine, but the second user hangs every time I try and load it. Using right click and run without add-ons it works, but I cannot "manage add-ons" as the hang prevents closing accept by power down and rebooting. It will take hours to find the offending add-on; if that is what is causing the problem. Anyone else in the same boat? Can I really just "remove" v7 to recover the previous version?

Ok when I make a mistake and go back to fix the spelling, when I insert the new letter the character in front gets deleted. So basically if I make a spelling change that results in a word with more letters than than the incorrectly spelled word than letters get deleted. For instance you know if you're typing on yahoo answers and if you correct the spelling with an extra letter the text just gets moved over, on MS word it deleted the characters in front of the corrected spelling. How do I fix this? it's so frustrating!

I'm pretty sure that when I bought Access years ago it came with a hefty manual which told me how to run more complex link equations between databases and tables. I seem to have totally mislaid it. Does anyone know where I'd get a copy and if not, whether I can download it from Microsoft? How much would it cost me?

hello, wondering if anyone can help, i put some links for webites into word so i can go back to it later, but i put a password on it incase someone saw it and opened it as they were links for christmas presents, does anyone know of how i can open it?, i am the administrator/main user for the pc,

Can anyone help me.I lost the registration key for my Microsoft Office when we bought our computer.I tried gettin another one but the one they gave me got lost.I really need one to do work.I tried to so system restore and everything.If anyone can help me or tell me where to get another one(internet,etc..)I would really appreciate it.thanks

When I turned on my computer this morning, there had some folders and the internet connection icon were disappear but it was working properly last night...
I clicked into the start menu and search for the folders that missing and i found all...!!!
Why the icons were missing...???

The folders are xerox and microsoft frontpage, in Program Files. They're both empty, and the microsoft frontpage folder exists on computers that don't have Microsoft Frontpage... Anyone know what they're for? I'm using Microsoft Windows XP, by the way.
