Call Microsoft and explain the situation. Or use a free office suite like OpenOffice.

**Fake edit: If it's a full version and properly installed there's no reason to need the key. If it's a demo that's looked you out the only option is to buy it. If you've downloaded an illegal copy that didn't include the key...buy a copy. Software theft is illegal.

You could try contacting the company you bought the computer from, but most systems only come with a 30-60 day demo of office.

If you must get the work done and can't afford a new copy of MS Office, you can download OpenOffice for free, it will open most versions of existing documents, word, excell & powerpoint, and is free to legally download.

these chinese and japanese geniuses have come together and made a trillion alternatives to microsoft office! most of them can be downloaded as torrents and/or limewire. ALL of these alternatives save as .doc, the same saving as a microsoft word, and the same for the rest of the microsoft office goodies. in short, u dont even need to buy that crap people call office. just get an alternative and tell microsoft to stop making those stupid registration codes! if these alternatives get famous, we may see a downfall in the "pffice" department. :D we hope :D
