When I turned on my computer this morning, there had some folders and the internet connection icon were disappear but it was working properly last night...
I clicked into the start menu and search for the folders that missing and i found all...!!!
Why the icons were missing...???
my comp info: windows2000, i always download music but i have that "VIrus scan" system.

Right click on your desktop (any blank area) and "active desktop" and then "lock desktop items."

I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no such problems. You have to decide the date. The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at

Maybe it's a virus, you need a good antivirus.

if they dont re-appear after rebooting your pc. mayeb you should re-install the progrmas.
