There isn't a good freeware version of Photoshop. You can download a trial version from the Adobe website or chooes an alternative program like Gimp, which is a free Photoshop-like image editing program:

It depends on what you want to do. Adobe has a free version called Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition. You can get it free from Adobe's website. Otherwise, try Gimp as others have suggested.

hmm, i use adobe cs2 but i hear gimp is a good alternative.
