Ok when I make a mistake and go back to fix the spelling, when I insert the new letter the character in front gets deleted. So basically if I make a spelling change that results in a word with more letters than than the incorrectly spelled word than letters get deleted. For instance you know if you're typing on yahoo answers and if you correct the spelling with an extra letter the text just gets moved over, on MS word it deleted the characters in front of the corrected spelling. How do I fix this? it's so frustrating!

Depress the "insert" key on your keyboard when that happens.

Hope that helps.

p.s. It's just under the print screen key and above the "delete" key (between backspace and num lock)

There is a butten that has the letter "ins". or it might just say insert. Press that. It should work. Pressing Insert, lets you write type letter but writes over the words ahead of it. If you press it again, it should stop doing that.

somehow you hit the insert key...it is above the delete key. Hit it again and it will not happen again.

You can tell it is on by looking down at the bottom right of word. The ins light will be on.

Hope this solves your issue.

Word Processor has less features, go to the microsoft website to check if you can buy office word seperately but it would be better to get a package where you get the other office programs as well

Press Insert on your keyboard, if that dosen't work, double-click the little OVR icon in the bottom of the screen.

I hate that!

Here's what you do:

You see your Backspace key?

To the right of that is a group of six keys:

Insert / Home / Page Up
Delete / End / Page Down

To fix it, just tap "Insert" once.
