my limewrie thing wont open
i tried deleting it and downloading another one but it still did not work
do u know what i can do'?

well try checking your WINDOWS firewall. Some times it may reject it. Also check any personal friewalls you have.

Try to open it through TASK MANAGER. {{Right click on your taskbar {{click "task manager" {{ Go to file and "NEW TASK" . {{Go through your program files and look for your installed LIMEWIRE program.
ALTERNATIVE. :
well i used the limewire program for about 2000 files. (mostly music) but reading a few articles from HOWSTUFFWORKS.COM i learned the essential p2p program bittorrent. (http://computer.howstuffworks.com/bittorrent.htm)
It is great . you must read the article and then visit bittorrent.com to download the program.
I have used it and i have to say that it is great.
ps. It has a great program download method. Super easy. Virus free. unlike limewire etc.

As with (most) peer 2 peer (p2p) programs, they open ports to your computer that you are not aware of. If you must run a p2p program, try something other program. There are many to choose from, but do so at your own risk. In addition, your firewall may be stopping the client from running on your computer. However thats another topic.

I go to college at a Christian school, and our ISP has disabled programs like Limewire and Bearshare. That could be the problem

uninstall, and leave that type of software out of your computer- it opens way too many security risks. (Add/Remove programs)
