The thing thats on the taskbar but its at the right, where it shows the programs running. It says OGG Directshow filter or something. And I can't find it in my computer. And I know that OGG is a file type. But, it always pops up when I open my second drive, and sometimes while im doing other things. And its getting annoying cause it doesn't stay there, it turns on and off real fast, and pauses at times, then goes away. How do I stop this?

I tried to open Excel and the computer is trying to INSTALL the program instead of opening it! I used the program yesterday no problems. I tried to do a system restore for a couple days ago but that didn't work. I don't have the Office 2000 CD (which it needs to install Excel again) on hand so I can't reinstall. What happened and how do I fix it???

ok,I use zonealarm as my firewall right?but theres a problem,when i go to most sites like blackplanet.com,it will not let me in,instead when i log in it'll come up with a page full of scripts line by line,And its like i have tried configuring it myself but no luck.Then onto my internet connection,for some reason when i download something lets say like off of file font,my download rate a be starting off at 400kbs,and it should go down and stay at 180kbs,but it dont do that,it'll drop down to 60kbs under 10mins,but when i use a download manager like flashget it stays at like 150-170kbs,but not when i use firefox.Now i know my net was real slow cuz it started when i installed a all in one security suite called kaspersky,and my net was slow but i figured out how to fix the net issue with speed but it was still slow with downloads,so i took it off and put zonealarm back on my pc and it still acts like if it has kaspersky on it.Anyone got any ideas on my issues?

I am about to restore my notebook computer to the original factory specs. Before doing so, I have made copies of important documents, settings, and favorites. I have all necessary disks/downloads of needed programs/applications and updates. I feel I'm ready to restore the drive except for one thing.

I have my original Microsoft Office 2003 disk and product key. When I re-install it on the restored drive, will Bill Gates and his pals at Microsoft recognize me when I try to register again? Or will they deny me rights to register it. I am the only one who has ever used the disk. It has never been registered to anyone else. Will I be able to use it again? Am I safe to restore my drive?

I reformatted my system today.
But when I log on to several websites the messages displayed are:

1. Visual Basic Scripting Support
2. Uniscribe

Then it asks to download it from CD. But I dont have it. Now how do I solve this problem? What is the actual problem?

Also, tell how to install volume drivers. There is no volume in my system. I also cant see the volume icon in the tray. It has gone away since I reformatted my system.

I am using Windows 98.

Plz answer all three questions.

Hi. I have recently installed a new motherboard , Ram chips and processor into my pc and they seem to be working fine but i can't start up windows from my existing hard disk it just keeps restarting with a blue screen. How can i get windows to accept all the new changes to the hardware, chipsets etc so i can start my machine?
N.B. I would prefer not to reinstall windows as i have all of my programs and files on my hard disk.

When i switch it on it asks for a boot cd then asks to 'start windows normally' or start windows with most recently used settings' i do this and the process starts all over again. The computer went off during a power failure.... any help whatsoever would be apreciated. Thanks

After Norton 2007 download I am now viewed as a 'visitor' by my HP system and cannot open my documents, or use several of my broadband services. Another example is that I have no influence over 'my accounts' etc...( using Windows XP). Have tried 're-booting' and turning off pop-up control, but no success. Someone please help!

i thought my pc restore was asking me to ensure i use DVD-R to make the boot/recovery disk.

..but now i'm thinking in my head, is that even possible? can a system restore be burned to a dvd-r ??
