The whole point of beta software is to identify and fix bugs in the product before its full release. If you're not happy with the probability of getting bugs then stick with fully released software and stay away from beta versions.

But if everyone stayed away from Beta, the stable release would be, er, unstable.
(Like FF 2.0... ;) )
IE7 is more stable than FF2.0, doesn't have random incompatabilities, and didn't miss out a high-profile security patch on release.
'course IE7 is from MS, so it's cool to hate it.
I've read of one exploit of IE7 (which also affects IE6), but can't find mention of anyone exploiting it. FFs got a hole from something like v1.2, which was patched by 1.somethingelse, but isn't now in 2.0.
But all the security patches in the world cannot protect against user incompetence. FF doesn't make a computer more secure than one running IE, it just makes it a bit easier to do it.
People really need to stop blaming software for what is, essentially, user incompetence.

IE7 is a joke. They seam to be trying to copy firefox which is a lot better and easier to use. I think that IE7 is worst then any operating system windows has ever made.

ie7 has a new interface and looks pants, if you can navigate it, it is fine.
if you want to not download it you can download an 'ie7 blocker' which stops the win pop up about the update to download, if in time you wish to download ie7 then ts still an option.

I have no problem with either.
Its very easy to blame the software that shows the symptom of failure. the failure could appear elasewhere and only be visible in BETA or IE7
