Windows 98 problem, plz help.............?

Question

I reformatted my system today.
But when I log on to several websites the messages displayed are:

1. Visual Basic Scripting Support
2. Uniscribe

Then it asks to download it from CD. But I dont have it. Now how do I solve this problem? What is the actual problem?

Also, tell how to install volume drivers. There is no volume in my system. I also cant see the volume icon in the tray. It has gone away since I reformatted my system.

I am using Windows 98.

Plz answer all three questions.

Hi..sometimes you have the drivers and date in this directory
C/windows/system/cabs

Next time it asks you to insert the cd type that in the slot and it should check C:windows/system/cabs and start installing.

Cabs is the windows drivers etc.. compressed and when you need to install drivers you can get it from there also. So if you don't have windows cd try that...

you won't be in a position to truly do something different than use yet another OS. something like Linux. in case you ever have previous computers use laptop mild Linux (DeLi). Or the different mild OS for an previous computing device. i'm specific you probably did no longer use that computing device for video games. So provide linux a attempt. in case you do no longer like it. you need to change back to residing house windows ninety 8 in case you need to arise with the CD.

you need to get your drivers either from the manufacturers website or thru driverguide also you need to put your disc back in and copy the win 98 folder to the hard drive and reset your security settings in ie6 to default and disable script debugging
