Yes, it called VISTA. Go here for details:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/default.aspx
But don't wait for it yet. To get the most out of it you need a high spec PC (especially a good graphics card). Wait for the second release it will be much more stable and the number of bugs will be reduced.

Yes, in January Microsoft will release Vista, the new system. It will be significantly different, do a quick search on Vista and it will have all the details. I believe many companies are selling computers now with XP and then will mail you a free copy of Vista when it comes out. Call Dell and ask about your system. That may be the best way to go, because if Vista ends up being a dud (at this point, moderately likely) you can always fall back on a legit copy of XP that you got for free.

Just like Windows XP has a few different versions, so does Vista, the new Microsoft Operating System. Windows Vista is equivalent to XP Home, and Aero is the spiffier version, more like XP Pro or Media Centre Edition. Both will be better than any current version of Windows XP, and both will look a lot like the new look Windows Live Messenger and MSN websites. They are also both quite customisable to your specific preference.

while residing house windows detects such a great distinction in hardware it is going to ask for confirmation with key codes (in many situations takes some days in the previous this occurs, it somewhat is somewhat a equipped in protection function to dodge stolen annoying drives to be reused in different computing gadget via Microsoft). the difficulty will maximum possibly be augmented on account which you're beginning with a Compaq working equipment which has a unusual load of proprietary courses. i'm gonna would desire to say no, it won't artwork. There are hacks available yet . . . stable success. somewhat, save your training and shipment a sparkling working equipment. Sorry.

Yes, Windows Vista is coming out early next year. I have read that there will be two home editions ( one basic edition and one premium edition) and three 'professional' editions. They won't be using the word Professional. I think you better get some information before you choose which version you want to buy.

Why worry about M$ Vista in 2-3 months (which will probably be moved back) when you can buy now and download SuSE linux which does much of what Vista is supposedly going to do but with less security issues and more stability.
