i need software that can take out vocal/voice layers from mp3 and wav files. where can i download a free and reliable version that is compatible with windows xp and 2000?

i recently transfered a 5 minute video from my videocam to my computer and it turns out, its 1.5.GB in size... for a 5 minute video? thats too much. is there any way / program that can compress videos to a more manageable size?

the errors are saying .rundll.exe and sr client not found.the disc that i have is one that came with the computer and is a boot disc.during the installation of windows it asked for a disc with SP2 on it but SP2 is meant to be on the same disc .i couldn't find the files it was asking for so i clicked don't continue without them. is there a way to install these files without having to install windows from scratch,can i download SP2 from the internet and would it fix the problem.

I'm a Linux newbie, so forgive if this is a stupid question. :D

Aren't all the various distributions of Linux running off of the same kernel? If so, why doesn't software written for Linux work on all distributions? (For instance, when I go to download Skype for Linux, it has different files for all the different distros.)

Does this have something to do with the dreaded "tarball"? Is the tarball the version which works on any distribution?

When I click on certain links (*MOST* of them) on the internet, my internet locks up. I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del, send error report. Microsoft says the error reports help them improve - bull. They haven't improved since the company started. But what could be going wrong. I have Comcast High Speed Internet. Any help???

I have modzilla firefox and i donot know what i did but i have paint shop pro 7 now when i download brushes it does not get saved to my desktop as Win Zip File the Default is Paint Shop Pro 7 can someone please help me i tried everything even search engines please help

I'm looking to make some back up copies of some of my DVD's that I own and have paid for. Some are scratching and I've lost some or broke some and my friend has back ups. I have a DVD burner on my computer I just need to know where I can find some downloadable software. Preferably easy to work programs.

My product key got turn up by my 2 yr old. I am using Window 98 I am trying to installing window XP, but I don't have an product key any more. I tryed to use the Window 98 key but no good. Can any one help?

my computer is reading an unknown process wich is slowing down other programs, it occurs for about every 5 mins. i look it in the task manager in the performance tab, while there is a reading the cpu usage increases to 30% which explains why it slows down my cmputer, is there a way for me to track down that reading and maybe disable it???

I'm just looking to make back-up copies of some of my DVDs, but the software I have is crap. Be good to get better for free!! Also, is it possible to play a movie on your pc, pause it, and then copy that image to desktop background? Not had computer for long! Not sure of all the tricks!
