First u need to know u can only install it three times. (there is something to do about that, a plug in or a crack)
U need to make sure that u have backup you data
Then u need to start in mode cd-rom u need to access the bios to select the first bootable device(u can select cd first then hard disc 00 at teh second boot device, If there is not a bootable cd in the cd drive it will go to the hard disc) But if ur pc is new, try to hit the f9 key constantly after a reboot(if it's work it will ask u to select the bootable device(in only that booting))
So with your windows cd into the cd rom drive, reboot and do as previous i've just say. U will need to delete the c: ( with "s" then "enter" then s again) after press "c" then "enter"
finaly Press "enter" and choose (fat32) or (NTFS)
and "enter"
And just look and fill what u need to feel
After the installation, install your mobo driver, microsoft direct x 9, your graphic card and all the other driver uwant to and the software( use this order:mobo direct x9,graphic card)

That depends on what level you want to install. If you are wanting to do a complete wipe, and you have your factory restore disk that came with your computer, then no, you dont have to delete anything. The quickiest way would be to put your restore cd, in your machine then reboot, and follow the instructions on the screen when the cd loads. (using this method will wipe everything and set your computer back to the state it was in which you bought it.)
Another alternative, if you dont have a restore cd, but have an oem copy of xp, is basically the same as above, although a little bit more techinal, since you have to go thru more steps to do the install.
Alternatively, you can reinstall windows, within windows, this isn't ususally recommended because any spyware, or viruses (if you have any) would still be on the machine after the install.
Better safe than sorry, back up and files you want tio keep, to a cd / dvd (music, pictures, etc) and either use a restore disk, or an oem copy
the site I listed gives an example or two.. hope that helped.

1 Copy files that you need to a flash drive or burn to a cd.
2 Insert xp cd, you will be promted to format the drive and install xp.
3 This process will take 30-60 minutes depending on the machine.
4 After installing you may find that you are missing some drivers, such as sound and dvd codec. These can be found on the web site of the manufacturer.
5 Restore files from step 1.
6 The whole process will be about 1 hour.

Hey Buddy, if you wish to reinstall your windows OS. There are two cases:
1) your windows is crashed
2) windows is working fine, but still you wish to reinstall
Lets consider each case:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your windows is crashed:
1) Get a windows installation CD (Bootable)
2) Put the CD in CD Drive, go to Bios settings, change the boot sequence to "Boot from CD"
3) Your windows installation will start
4) it will ask you to overwrite / of new install - select the desired option and carry on with the installation.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Windows is working fine, but still you wish to reinstall:
1) Boot the computer; start your existing windows OS
2) Put the windows installation CD, the CD will Automatically run
3) This will be Graphical User Interface; very easy....select the desired options and carry on with the installation.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In case if you don't have any Windows Installation CD and your windows is not at all booting up:
1) Get a floppy disk
2) Take it to your friends house, insert the disk in Comp. and make it bootable disk. (how to make bootable disk, go to control panel and find it)
3) Take the disk to your comp, insert; and boot, the comp will boot from floppy disk. and show you command prompt.
4) Run some sort of commands like scandisk;scanreg. there are some hopes that your comp will boot up after the scans.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In case any of the above given options are not applicable:
1) give a call to h/w engineer.
All the Best...!

I just had to re-install Windows XP. All I had to do was put in the Windows XP disk that came with my computer and that's all. Nothing had to be deleted, removed, or anything.
