I'm just looking to make back-up copies of some of my DVDs, but the software I have is crap. Be good to get better for free!! Also, is it possible to play a movie on your pc, pause it, and then copy that image to desktop background? Not had computer for long! Not sure of all the tricks!

go to download.com or try it on the search bar and type in DVD shrink this is a free download it might ask if you meant shrink DVD which is not what you want it will also help if you have Nero 7 as well to the other question yes you can if you have power DVD there is a snap shot on it for that

On PCs the 'Prt Scr' button will usually copy the current screen to your clipboard or some type of temp file. I haven't done it in a really long time so I don't remember the particulars, but play around and you'll get it.

Download a bit torrent programme, such as azeurus.
Search for bittorrent sites.
Sign up, search site, download.
i recommend oink.me.uk if you can get an invite (try soulseek (again download the programme) chatrooms).
