Do you know what I am talking about? I swear they are impossible to get rid of once they are in your document.
And they multiply! Please help! It is ruining a piece of work I have spent so much time on. They are the horizontal lines that "attach" themselves to sections of text. I've tried the help menu, but since I don't know what the F$^# they are, no use.

I have prepared a Market survey report which I want to sell. Many clients are asking to give it as soft copy. My fear is that they may copy it and resell. I understand that a document when converted to pdf file cannot be copied. Pl. suggest me a Freeware which converts Word/ Excel file to pdf file, which the buyer alone can use to browse but cannot be copied or resold. Any alternative suggestions are also welcome with profound thanks in advance.

I am running OS 10.4.7 and was trying to move the desktop file to another one of my hard drives instead of my main. I thought I did it, and emptied the trash of my desktop. I still have the things that were saved on my desktop, but now I can't add any folders or files to my desktop. Can any one help me fix my mess???
