Xp does not have startup disk.

In nero back it up click on the drive back up click on the system drive click start drive back up best with cd/dvd rewritables then click start drive back up this will make you a series of cd/dvds you can use these to restore your system as the first disk is bootable at start up this restores the computer to its orignal install plus any other programs ect on the drive rewritable disks are the best for this as they can be updated easily if any thing changes on the system you do not need your serial number as this will only restore to the machine it was saved from you also do not need to reformat the drive the disks reinstall to the same partition on the hard drive

try doing this. first get an empty diskette. insert it in your floppy drive, select format then select create ms dos start up disk then select start

you can creat an start up disc by burnning the disc with bootable fromat in the nero6 . on datadisc click bootable disc and then burn
