Security - June 2007

I forget the password to my pc and now i cant log in. is there anyway i can retrive my password? or change it maybe? can it be free?

I'm useing Symantic antivirus and told it to do a full scan and for the past 2 and a half hours it has been saying its scanning memory, loadpoints and security risks...
but on the bottom it says its scanned 0 files. is somehthing wrong?

It uses all my CPU and when I try to end the process it just reopens. I know it's a virus.

I sometimes receive trackbacks to my personal blog, but today I received one from "Klubonit (www.Yahoo.com)" ...no further information given.

A Google search, as well as a search via Yahoo's own search engine, reveals no useful information about this peculiar name. Who, or what, is Klubonit, and why is he/she/it using the Trackback feature on my humble little website? Has anyone heard of it before?

I'm not really familiar with the Trackback feature, but from what I gather, it is a curtesy link back to my blog entry when someone is discussing something on their own blog that I've posted on mine. This makes me extremely curious.

Ok, so i have wireless and I am using someone elses. And i know that is terrible. So it obviously unsecured. and i was wondering how much of my info can they see. Like for example can they see something that i downloaded off of something like a limewire/ bearshare program even if i deleted it.

Most of the emails are ridiculous scams stating that I have won some kind of lottery. I'm not sure what I accidentally did to get these unwanted emails. How can I block them or be removed from whatever list I may be on without changing my email address?

I am planning on making a journal out of Word documents or something, and I want to password-protect the folder in case my bro gets a hold of my computer, and I don't want him to read all my journals. Is it possible to password-protect a folder?
I was going to make a blog, but I realized that everyone on the web can read it if they can find it. Blogging a journal is not an option.

Ok, i tried to test my boyfriend. I was pretending that i was my sister's friend on MSN on my own pc. By the next day, my boyfriend knew that it was me. He told me that he found out through my IP address. LoL
Is there any programs where u can detect or find out your IP add? How is it? Help!!
