Ok, i tried to test my boyfriend. I was pretending that i was my sister's friend on MSN on my own pc. By the next day, my boyfriend knew that it was me. He told me that he found out through my IP address. LoL
Is there any programs where u can detect or find out your IP add? How is it? Help!!

Well There Are many Ways.
1.Using DOS: Type Netstat -n or netstat -an
You Will Get a list of All Foriegn IP's
connected to ur Pc (Note: If You Want Someone's Ip From msn You have to send him a File or Open Cam With Him To Be Clear It will Be "Close _Time" under netstat) Enjoy..!
2.Using Scanners : You Can Use Too Many Scanners To Ping on Foriegn IP You Can Search in Google For It

Remember the url ... do this again after you install anything, because new software has a bad habit of undoing your security settings.
There is very little privacy on the Internet. Avoid doing anything improper, because high risk you will get caught.
Get a firewall installed, study the logs ... most firewalls come with some way to back track attacks on you.
For example on my home PC there is some clown in East St Louis who attacks my home PC everh 10 seconds ... never learns, keeps attacking.
A good source for learning about this subject, in my opinion, is the Internet Storm Center ... you know the weather maps on TV telling you where bad weather is ... well they do the same principle with the Internet.

Email, all you have to do is view headers to see the originiating IP. In some cases even the computer ID.

probably through command prompt, if you sent him a file, or he sent a webcam invite etc not really all that hard
