I was banned from a messege board, and now the mods are giving out my Ip adress along with all my other personal infomation from my profile like my pass word and everything, is that illegal and what can I do?

I dont know how to get my Internet Explorer back to where it was when I was using it last night...maybe there's a virus - I'm running a scan now.

But I can't seem to get into websites.
Is it my cookies?
There was an error message that talked about my Browser settings....

What do I do to get everything back the way it was.
It seems like the secure sites, I can't get into (example: Ebay, Paypal, etc...)

Ok, I'm really afraid umm.. I downloaded this activex object from a random website that I "needed " to view a video.. umm so I downloaded it. Now there are all of these weird programs and security programs on my computer. There is a toolbar it installed and this thing on my left hand start button thing is like an x and then a triangle with a ! in it, and its flashing back and forth and I've tried removing and uninstalling it but it just stays. I dont want viruses and stuff! HELP! What do I dooo?! The program it installed was spylocked and security toolbar 7.1 , video activexobject 7.1, and I think some other stuff. Help please!!!!!! ++ When I try and unistall the active x object it says I should reboot prior to uninstalling and wont say "reeboot now" yes or no its says yes or cancel I dont want to though because it might not turn back onn!!!

My pc was attacked by asecurityupdate.com recently. Luckily a software engineer friend helped me to solve it. I installed the
Norton Antivirus 2007 in Feb 2007). I bought it. How come Norton never notify me about the attack?
Recently I received an article www.pcworld.com/article/132050-1/article.html?tk=nl_dnxnws which said that "Millions of Chinese hit by Symantec foul-up".
I must admit that I was rather disappointed with Norton.
Any comments?
(I must thank Yahoo! Customer Care for their concern about my pc being attack. It is very kind of them.)

hey guys needs some help...
i just found out some malicious file in my document in my computer its an jpeg file( mypicture.com and ratedr.com)..i don't know if its virus, worm or what..
i got this when i used USB flashdrive from my friend and from that USB my anti virus(mcafee) detected some files that threaten my computer. Maybe my PC were infected by those worms and the worst is, i cant open my images/picture in my pc and instead those picture should have an extension of .jpeg it turns to microsoft word document with an extension file name .exe..
i've been scannng for virus using mcafee and only one has been detected and cleaned it, yet no change in the system,.what should i do now?

There is a virus in my C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Shared folder and I can't open the folder or the window will freeze, i can't right click it either. I tried virus scans on it but when it gets to that file, the scanner's freeze. I even tried an online scanner and it froze that too. Any idea of how I can get to the virus or delete it?

in my school, they have just added a new security system called smoothwall. it is very secure anything i try doesnt work. it does not let you check email or go to myspace or anything. it doesnt even let you go onto mlb.com. i am surprised it is letting me do this. i am also surprised it lets me do fantasy, i bet it soon wont. someone pleeeease help me.

I wanted to buy an MP3 player so I went to uxcell.com to buy one. But then after i ordered it i received an email saying that they needed my credit card report for the last three months, and my social security # and other personal information because it mentioned that my order had exceeded an amount.
Should i give them my information? or are they just trying to get my personal information? Is this normal? Does this happen to everybody when they go online shopping? I need answers fast because i want to order my MP3 as soon as possible.
