Click "Start" and then "Run". In the run box, type "regedit" without the quotes, and then click "Ok". This will upen the Registry Ediror. Be careful, if you change the wrong settings in the Registry your computer will stop responding.

Registry files are the database files that actually manage your system. They are all put together and keep track of your settings and your installed programs, pretty much everything that is part of your system. The Registry is a scary place to mess around with if you have no idea what you are doing. One mistake and you can destroy your system.

Your registry holds all the information regarding updates, installs, un-installs etc. It provides a history of those events. And each one of those events hasa key, otherwise known as a file. That key needs your PC's resources. So cleaning this files regularly should be on the top of your list to keep your PC running smoothly. This registry can grow very large and slow down your PC. Do a registry scan if you got more than 20 errors you should clean it.
Hope this helps.
