It's a phishing scam, period .You didn’t enter a lottery, and YAHOO isn’t running a lottery. All you are going to win is an empty bank account and more trouble than you ever dreamed of. If you want to bother, forward the fraudulent email to phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com, spam@uce.gov, and 419.fcd@usss.treas.gov.

Hello
First did you enter any Lottery over there? Second it sounds like a scam be very careful and don't give any personal info out, bank accounts, SS# or anything like that. Also if they say send X of money first that should be a red flag right there and don't do it.

Sorry for the bad news but it may save you a lot of heartach in the future.

None of the lottery email you receive are true.

I had one from an aol email address and claimed to be yahoo lottery win. The emails are very basic in design in really poor font too. Its very obvious they arent real. If you won that much money they would come straight to your home not send an email.

It is a typical Phishing Scam. I would suggest you can safely delete it without opening it or clicking any of the links in the message.

Use Windows Live Hotmail so that the message is automatically blocked off.

If you purchased a ticket to the UK, National Lottery Headquarters, maybe you have one. (Even purchase of a ticket I am sure your money went to a con artist).

If you have not purchased a ticket, then the emal is a scam.

They are sending such mails to many people.
They are frauds and scammers.
Never mind such things.
You cannot win a lottery without buying a ticket.
These scammers are playing with innocent people.
Just ignore, neglect and leave such things to dogs.

It is a scam to get your personal information including bank account and credit card info. You could opt to just ignore or play their game and send them back a lot of bogus info. I always play the latter.
