Security - June 2006

My computer has a virus alert now and i tried most of the antivirus but i can't seem to get rid of it. I think it is a malware because i keep on receiving pop-ups that yahoo blocker cannot prevent... and my home page changed voluntarily... what should i do?

i recieve email messages on yahoo but i am not the intended recipient, the "to" address is not mine. i recieved a couple for different users. anyone else having this problem? am i being hacked?

How do I locate hkey_classes_root\clsid\{dee6806c-fb33-d04c-e1c6-8d? This shows up when I do the Yahoo anti-spy tool as a keyboard logger and when u click details you get the above hkey location. I've tried to delete through anti-spy but get the msg that one or more items can not be removed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I run virus scan wont rid me of it cant put it quartine either or delete it. I find the file delete it on the drive rebooted it pops right back up . how can i get rid of it.

I encountered several webpages which sked to send yahoo/hotmail/aol ID and passsword. They obviously have different intentions. But I think that 't is quite possible to get password of any mailbox.

Am I wrong? Can you give sufficient reasons to state the opposite?

It's not in my add/remove list and all the programs are unistalled from it...(anti-spy/virus, pop up blocker, parental controls)

if not whats a good free virus software to run with adware?

i also have spybot should i get rid of spybot? and just keep adware ?

This happened shortly after I logged into my Yahoo email today. It says "the security certif is from a trusted certifying authority. THe security certif date is valid. But, the name on the security certif is invalid or does not match the name of the site. Then, I looked into the Certificate tab and it says: Issued to a248.e.akamai.net. Issued by GTECyberTrustGlobal Root. Valid 1/25/06 to 1/25/07. I have no idea what this means.
