Security - June 2006

HI, I tried to download Norton antivirus the free trial but my computer at the end of the download said it is not safe to download it.

To download Wondows XP SP 2....do you know from where to download it?

I checked pctools.com but my browser only shows signs when I click download; I do not know why.

There is this other website soft32.com

but I don't know how safe or good they are.

I did updated spyboot search and destroy but it says there that ad aware is a for of spyware; is that so?\
I scanned my computer with both programs and turned my computer off; but when I turned it on again hours later now is shows the yellow sign for downloads but a red one too warning me my antivirus is not running and that I am at risk of spyware but I checked and my antivirus is on and I did those scans so why is that happening? I am afraid they might have gotten into my computer already. I do not use explorer anymore I use Opera for safety but still I have this going on.\

I have a virus in my computer which causes the cursor to place itself in a different position occasionally as I'm typing. In other words, I can be typing and all of a sudden the cursor may move itself to another sentence or paragraph or if I'm filling out a form even to another box.

I've run several anti-virus programs and nothing shows up.

The problem showed up all at once.

I know it's a virus because when my laptop gave me a problem I had the hard drive recovered. I bought a new laptop and installed the saved files. The new computer cursor acted as I described.I thought something was wrong with the computer and returned it.

They fixed my old laptop and I reinstalled the files, my old computer started the same thing.

Someone PLEASE HELP ME. It's really aggravating and causes a lot of problems.

I want to scan my computer because I.E. is not working properly and unfortunately I have to use I.E. instead of Mozilla to build my website but dont know if I download bugdoctor.com scan for my computer if it will make things worse due to not being valid and encrypting a bug/virus on my computer.
