the way you know that you have spyware on your computer is many reasons,
1. numerous restarts (contiusloy)
2. many pop-ups
3. slow computer
4. home page changed
5. and many other changes

Sometimes you don't know. It would be best to run a spyware scan. Spybot Search and Destroy, or Yahoo Anti-Spy are quick downloads and good spyware scanners. www.download.com

If it crashes and if programs automatically run even without you launching them. Also when you notice that you can access some of your programs even internet sites. I would suggest having it checked by a computer tech or having a good anti-virus software installed in your system immediately and do a full scan. Worked for me, though.

Runs slow...reboots for no reason. Your home page isn't your home page anymore...numerous pop ups.

You can scan with Yahoo antispy...free with the toolbar. That's a good start.

to get rid of all spyware....u back up everythin u need and reinstall windows...either that get a mac :P

yahoo toolbar has an anti-spy-ware on it that is effective.
