after a fresh install of windows xp i thought i would give a different anti-virus a go,so i downloaded and installed the one year evaluation from computer accosiates"e\trust anti-virus"
has anyone used this before as i would be intrested to hear some opinions on the software,as normal i have also used spy-bot and adaware
is there a "best" anti-virus program,as you hear all the hype about "norton and mcafee"but ive heard they drain recourses,is that true?

My ex is forever harassing me on here... he makes up these weird emails on hotmail and emails me and threatens me at the same time... but leaves no name.. but I know its him.. if I take this to the police, would they be able to find his IP address and talk to him about it?

My system is running slow again. I had some stalker/jerk from Japan hack my e-mails. I bought a new computer when I moved back to Canada but my system is running slow again and I have three fire walls and all kinds of anti spyware.

I am have received one mail in my account with an attachment W32.Blackmal.E@mm!enc and subject line: Junior Consultants for Research Project in Ignou. Is it a virus? Though I have neither downloaded nor deleted it from my mail box, but the question , how had the sender knew me as an IGNOU student, kept me in a dilemma, if I should delete the file or not. However, the yahoo virus scan reported the attachment being VIRUS. What should I do.

I would like you to read my blog (below) about "free software" and give your comments about it.

I aslo would like to know if the idea of "free software" can be suitably used in businesses like banks. Because I feel banks need to rely on security systems, right? No one should hack bank databases? Ultimately I do want to know the connection between security and the idea of "free software" (as Richard Stallman defines it). Can we build security systems given that the source code is free? Is it a wise decision...?

Or am I completely missing something...? I might be confused you know in which case I would want to know if security is really an issue here...

When I go to control panel, then double click the Firewall Icon, it wont give me the option to turn it on. The little check mark is on the Off option (not recomended) and the whole window is grey so i can't turn it on. I have downloaded SP2 and installed it. How do i fix it.
