Some weeks ago I had a problem with my computer, it was slowing down and i couldn't explain why some websites where redirecting! Since I had a good (norton) antivirus system I did not think that I had spyware! , however a friend of mine came to my house and immediately told me that I had a spyware program, he entered into a site downloaded one of the free programs featured there and installed it on my computer, after running this program my computer is fast and downloading normally, whilst my homepage was also restored.

the webpage where you can find free reliable anti spyware is:

Winantivirus is a virus. It installs itself onto your computer and wreak havoc onto your anti-virus software. It can make some, such as AVG not work at all. Switch your computer into safe mode by restarting, and pressing F8 about once per second as soon as the bios screen loads. From Safe mode, run your anti-virus, and Anti-Spyware programs. If you find anything written to the "Restore" folders, you should cut off system restore, then re-scan. Once you come up clean a few times, cut your system restore back on.

On this note, I suggest the following Programs:
AVG free edition for Windows, from free.grisoft.com
Spybot Search and Destroy 1.4 from safer-networking.org
Ad-Aware SE personal from lavasoft.com

Remember, too, that you should oly have 1 anti-virus, one anti-spyware, and one Firewall residenting on your system at one time. With Spybot and Ad-Aware, these are not residenting programs, they are merely scanners.

Don't buy it.
Instead, run the free online scan by visiting http://www.trendmicro.com/spyware-scan/ and also scan for virus at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
You can even download free virus/spyware removal tools like Adware or AVG!
No need to buy anything, just try the free programs above. Hope it helps!

That in itself is a spy-ware program.

Get spybot S&D and AdAware. It's free and does a better job. Including getting rid of that on. Links to them below.
