When I go to control panel, then double click the Firewall Icon, it wont give me the option to turn it on. The little check mark is on the Off option (not recomended) and the whole window is grey so i can't turn it on. I have downloaded SP2 and installed it. How do i fix it.

If you use Norton or Mcafee Antivirus, this is quite possible...

May be the windows security center is disabled on your pc. For rectifying this

run services.msc in start >> run

a new services window will be opened

there from the right panel double click on "Security Center" , a new window will be displayed then , from there select "Automatic" from "Startup Type" , click on "Ok". Then restart you pc.

Go to microsoft.com. They will tell you how to set it! Everyone should have two firewalls! Get
another virus/spam/firewall program. I use
McAfee Security Suite.
