If you are asking can it detect and warn you BEFORE it starts to download the file, no. It has to access the file and read through it in order to find the viruses. It can only do that if it downloads the files first.

most can detect affected files though as with large files that need to be compressed it is difficult if at all possible with some Anti-virus software to scan these files because of the compressed format file system. Its a risk you'd have to take downloading compressed or executable (.exe) files.

i would suggest you use bit torrent and not Peer3peer but you'd still have to scan fiels with AV software esp if its an exe or compressed file
