just wondering if my old PC can be upgraded cheaply to XP ? it cost a fortune years ago and I havent got the heart to junk it .......just yet

Maybe I should give it to my parents whom are running Lotus 95 I think ?

Is it possible to mate both computers together to download data ? from 95 to 98 ?

Then can I do it from 98 to XP ?

Help!!! SO whenever I turn on my computer it literally lasts 15 min. before it freezes up specifically the Start Menu (at the bottom where the Start button appears and then every window u open is there to either minimize or maximize) none of it works, totally frozen ...and no i do not have too many windows open , this can happen with either 1 or 2 open . After it freezes everything is useless and I have to restart. If I minimize what is open I can press shortcuts from my desktop because the same buttons on the bottom of the screen don't work. Another problem is my wallpaper- doesn't work, I can install a new one but it never shows up. What the heck is going on??? Please help someone!!

Doesn't the nature of computing and the Internet lend itself to the free sharing of information? What does the infatuation with ownership and possession have to do with law. In some parts of the world people plant food and others are allowed to "free harvest" and it has been that way for a long time. So if you don't want to share it, don't plant it.

i heard people say the make of the psu is quite important, and when i got my pc case it came with a 400w 'mercury ' psu

it says its a 400w ? will it give me that much? is it a 'safe one ' to use ?

I got a PC-3200 RAM card for my computer but when I checked on my computer BIOS, it says that it has PC2-3200 slots. Is the difference big? Can I still install it on my computer without worries of maybe an overload of my machine and just burn my motherboard?

When I come to send (transfer) a picture to my 2GB usb flash drive that is almost emty (by right clicking, clicking send to and then clicking on flashdrive) an error message appears saying

''An unexpected erroe is preventing this operation. make a note of this error code. 0x80070052.''

What can i do to resolve this?
It was working fine on my Windows XP PC but not on my Windows Vista Laptop.
The files on my Flash drive are photoz from my Windows XP PC. So is it possible thatm the flash drive only likes to have files from either XP or Vista seperatly and not at the same time?
My flash drive is a PNY 2gb.
Any help/ information will be much appreciaced.
