Help!!! SO whenever I turn on my computer it literally lasts 15 min. before it freezes up specifically the Start Menu (at the bottom where the Start button appears and then every window u open is there to either minimize or maximize) none of it works, totally frozen ...and no i do not have too many windows open , this can happen with either 1 or 2 open . After it freezes everything is useless and I have to restart. If I minimize what is open I can press shortcuts from my desktop because the same buttons on the bottom of the screen don't work. Another problem is my wallpaper- doesn't work, I can install a new one but it never shows up. What the heck is going on??? Please help someone!!

Do you have any antivirus software. Try downloading the AVG antivirus and run a scan on it, I'd be willing to bet your computer is infected with something.

If you have it turned on in the task bar menu you checked, make sure that it is not set to "auto-hide". If it is not, then it sounds like you just drug it off of the screen. Move your mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen and look for the cursor to change to the up/down arrow. Hold the left mouse button and drag the mouse up, and your taskbar should re-appear. If this was the solution, right click on your taskbar when it is set to the size you want it, then set it to lock the taskbar.

Sounds like you may have a virus. You'll need to get some antivirus software.
