Pfft..what's with you guys saying he needs 550-600w?? He really could run it on about 200w if he wanted to...i don't think many people actually know how little power even a high end PC (which this is not) uses. My PC rarely uses over 350w....and it's very high end.

Well, the efficiency isn't very good. Also, the specs are confusing, because it looks like it says it's 250W input. I would say that you're probably alright. You put a long end SLI card into a crossfire motherboard, but whatever.

Looks good enough for your set-up
BUT..if you plan on upgrading in the future i would suggest getting more Watts.

Hi. I strongly suggest that you look at a better, more powerful PSU. The 400 watts is the total of ALL outputs, even those that are almost never used. Maybe get a 550 or more. This link has a comparison of three brands including Mercury. http://www.slcentral.com/dual-12v-psu-shootout/page7.php

Edit. You built it yourself and that's good. If the PSU has worked OK for two years then it must be adequate in your case!

psu's that come with cases are almost never good. Besides, with the specs you listed, it sounds like you have more than enough money to spring for a better one. At only 400w, i dont even know if you will have enough juice to power everything. Just be safe and buy one with at least 600w from somewhere like newegg.com they have rebates and discounts all the time, and shipping is FAST.

unfortunately, mercury's sorry excuse for a website doesnt describe what type of hook-ups are on the psu.

with your setup your probably going to need a 20+4 pin motherboard main connection

4-pin processor connection

are you running sli (that requires a 4-pin connection)??

and youll need at least 6-8 molex connections for your fans, CD-ROM drives...etc...

and you should check your HDD's to see if they take molex or SATA only power....there are adapters available to convert them.

No. All these Components will require at least 550W+

for your setup.... yes. This seems like a stable PSU to use. But personally id go with Antec or Truepower... Their power supplies are very dependable.
