The only one I have used is Spybot S&D. It is free and can be downloaded from here: http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html
But there are many other software, some good, some bad and others that are plain ugly.

Same as Jerry I have the Yahoo anti spy,firewall & all & free!!! Been on it for over year & no problems.

There is no one program that will clean your system completely. Spybot is good but it's better with Ad-Aware together. Thats only protects you against spyware and adware. What about virus'? Avg is great and free. They recently aquired Ewido. Ewido was another great free spyware remover. It is now AVG Anti-Spy. So you need about 5 different programs to do one job that require a lot of maintenance to work effectively.

I use AVG antispy. It is also free and works great for me. Not sure the exact website, just google it.
