Calm down..

Call Microsoft and tell them you entered in the key that was given to you when you bought the product. (If you didnt buy the product, ignore this part). But call Microsoft and they will assign you a new one if they see there is some technical issue somewhere.

If someone gave a copy of this operating system to you with a serial key that has already been used, then.. there isn't really anything you can do except to just get Windows Vista at a store somewhere. Good thing is your work wont go anywhere.

Go onto pcclub.com and look at prices for that operating system.. they are real cheap at this place.

I think you should go to the Windows Company or the store you bought the software from. The workers there should give you a new product key and, if you ask me, a refund. You deserve that refund.

I'd suggest that you call Microsoft and tell them about this problem. Hopefully they can help you fix this.

Good luck and I hope I helped you and Happy New Year!
