just insert the cd into the cd/dvd drive, u can play it with windows media player

you can use media player- latest version. Otherwise other free softwares on web can help too
I use divX. its the best
google it using phrase" play movies on computer" and you will have more options

pop in the DVD and use Media Player Classic,
or acquire a DIVX or AVI file, and use a media player such as Winamp.
