hey pals...my computer(IBM R50e windows XP) is giving me some problem and i wud like to format it.
Now i also want to keep a backup of some of the data like "movies and music"
can u guys please help me out in this
plz answer my query step by step from the beginning as i dont know how to format the computer
please help

Can anyone help. 1) I have Packard Bell Easynote MV and everytime I'm running a programme the mouse jerks across the screen and I lose total control, I have run Norton antivirus, Windows pro care and Windows removal tool, nothing helps. I have to actually switch off the computer and re-boot ( the ctrl-alt- del thingy doesn't re-boot it ). I have tried several mice, laser, trackball laser/mechanical ordinary roller and wireless but the problem persists HHHHEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPP.

2) I have looked in the system files and attempted to disable the mouse-pad on the front but it says that it's the only synaptic pointing device and I shouldn't disable it.

3)When I'm typing text the cursor vanishes off the field and appears somewhere in the middle of previously typed text and I end up typing in themiddle of it. aaaaarrrgggggghhhhhhhhh.

4) PLEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEE HEEEEELLLLLPPPPPP
It's driving me fcuking insane.

I have a E6600 @ 2.4Ghz, the motherboard is a P5N32-E SLI Plus and i have 1GB of OCZ Platinum PC-6400 C5 RAM. Can anyone tell me how to overclock this system Please.
And what is DDR2 TEMP as i get a warning in ASUS Probe saying that its 1.09V when i try overclocking.

A colleague of mine has offered to fix my pc for me. I regularly delete cookies and temporary internet files but am just wondering if there is any other ways for him to trace what websites I have visited? Might have recently visited a couple of websites that I wouldn't want work friends knowing about!!! (If you catch my drift lol)

O.K, so, everything was going fine, I was turning on my computer, it booted up, and then It got to windows where it chose it's user. I clicked on my user name, typed in my password, and everything was fine so far. BUT then terror stuck. I got this message "Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator. "

:( What happened! There is no administrator!!!! But it gets worse, I actually do log into windows, and my whole entries desktop is re arranged. My music, Pictures, HOMEWORK (THATS DUE THIE MORNING) and a whole lot of other stuff is missing. But not everything is. Whats going on!!!

Okay I HAVE A NEW WINDOWS VISTA LAPTOP & like I stated above, I tried to play a video off of a site but then it prompted me to download this codec so I could play it but when i downloaded the application for the codec and ran it, it started to install but then a warning popped up from windows defender and said TROJAN DOWNLOADER!!!!. MY COMPUTER ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE IT BUT NOW MY COMPUTER KEEPS RESTARTING EVERY 3 SECONDS & I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ON MY COMPUTER BECAUSE IT KEEPS RESTARTING AS SOON AS IT LOADS UP PLEASE HELP WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!!!!!!

I installed a game demo and now everything on my screen in big, the icon and even the tool bars!!! I don't know how to fix it!!! Please help me!!! really annoying hum comes from my computer speakers, even when i use my headphones , i have system setup for stereo speakers with an amplifier but i cant get rid of this hum . it is not like feed back more of an electrical power hum .

my computer says that i am using 30 GB on my C drive, but when i add up all the stuff that it shows in the drive it only equals 16. where are the other 14 GB coming from?
