you have an old version looking for the newest stuff that it cannot find, or you have too low of memory for the software package that you are running.

Adware, spyware or virus are not the only reasons that could slow down your computer.
Corruption and Errors within your registry could slow down yout computer too.The registry is a main part of your computer's Operating System. With time, as you use Windows and install and uninstall programs, your registry will get congested and full of errors. So your computer could slow down. So, if you can clean it up this problem can be solved.. Not knowing you processor speed or type and not knowing the date of manufacturer I have to guess. Few people, if any, ever "clear their computer temporary files and history and cookies data after a session online.
You have to go to "Tools" which is normally at the top of your screen when you are using your browser to search or go to a website. After yoou click on "Tools" you will see a small choice of options and typically at the bottom of this little window is "Internet Options". Click on this and then you will see another window that allows you to delete "temporary files" and "cookies" and "history".

This needs to be done every week or every day especially after you have been on any site that is relative to your private security and or banking information and so on.

This will delete all worthless temporary files and cookies that may be time consuming and parasitic and slow your comp down while it is running so that they can steal information while you are surfing the www.

As computers age just like anything else they become slower and less powerful. You might want to consider an upgrade.
