Possible causes of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator. "

:( What happened! There is no administrator!!!! But it gets worse, I actually do log into windows, and my whole entries desktop is re arranged. My music, Pictures, HOMEWORK (THATS DUE THIE MORNING) and a whole lot of other stuff is missing. But not everything is. Whats going on!!!

PS: I wasn't doing anything questionable, and I was only downloading from places I trust and have never effected me. I'm the kind of person that is phobic against viruses and because of that its super hard to get anything downloaded. But terror stuck and I'm living in a actual nightmare. My computer to me is like my baby and now my baby has Alzheimer's... But its only a baby...

It might not be a virus, user profiles can become corrupt sometimes which sounds like what's hapenned.

You should be able to find your old documents in c:\documents and settings\\

Have a look at this microsoft article on how to recover all your files and folders from the corrupt profile..

Be careful with system restore if you want to keep your homework!

It looks like a virus messed up your profile and some other things that you do not know yet. Start you PC and go to safe mode. Scan and clean twice w/ different anti virus. Then do a system restore afterwards NOT BEFORE the scan.

Next time you surf and visit "popular" sites, be sure you have a better ant-virus, an anti-spyware and a registry guard like WinPatrol.

You can try virus, registry scan etc. If all these do not solve your problem resort to this. If you can create another user please do so. A folder in the name of new login name would be created in c:\documents and settings folder. There will also be a folder named administrator or the name as your earlier login name. Copy all the contents/folders of this folder into new folder created after you created new user or if creation of new user was not possible then copy in All users folder. Then restart windows & login in new name (if you could create) or else just cancel the password. Things will come back to normal.

Your original profile may be damaged or corrupted, now you are logged in as a new user, so your desktop etc. now all geared up to a new user, hence new profile.

Try to do a system restore, chances are all your data and documents are still there, look under the folder 'Document and settings' and you should find them there

Nope, not a virus, but you better fix your Operating System, insert your genuine windows xp cd and boot up and restore damaged files.

You need to do a registry scan, spy scan, Make sure all the windows updates are installed.
I would back-up anything you want to save and do a system restore if the scans dont work........
