I know about right clicking on my computer. Thats not what I need. I need to know the total system memory, what type (PC 4200, ETC), and how many more memory slots are available.... Is there a program out there for this?

- I need to know because it will be much easier for me to just run a program on 90 computers than it will to open each case up and look for myself.

Basically the extra drive is taking up the drive letter E: and i use that letter for my external hard drive and run programs from it. So the programs i use need the drive to be E: and i dont know haow to get rid of the extra cdrom drive.

I only have the one piece installed and dont have any other attachments to the computer.
It has come out of nowhere.
I tried going to disk management but it dosent show up there and when i select my external hard drive to change the letter to E: it dosent come up on the list so this unknown drive is using the e: space. It is registered in 'my computer though'

Please help!!!!

thanks

Operating system had to be reloaded as computer suddenly decided not to find Windows. Hard drive was formatted and XP reloaded. Everything seems to work apart from lack of sound.

I've had a few problems with Internet-based services. In one case, I signed up for a storage service but when I emailed requests to cancel my account (there was no phone number given), I got no response and got charged for several months. In another case, I signed up for an Internet fax service. When i wanted to cancel, I was required to start a live chat session with their agent. The session wouldn't load properly so I sent my request through the contact form in my account panel. I kept getting billed and when i complained, they said they had no record of my cancellation request .

After a lot of hassle, I have finally cancelled both services. But both companies aren't issuing refunds. I've complained to the Better Business Bureau (LA Area) but haven't even received an acknowledgement of my complaint. When I followed up, I didn't even receive a response to my enquiry.

I'm an international customer, so perhaps the BBB won't do anything for me. Is there anything else I can do?

I am working with Windows XP Home edition. I can go into Display properties both through the start menu, and by right clicking the desktop. I can click on change color, and customize desktop, but cannot click on the browse, or click on any of the names of pictures so that I can change the background picture.

When I'm surfing on the internet my computer will kick me off. Then I have to log back on. What could it be? Another problem I have is that when I try to log off it gets to a blue screen. On it it says, "Window Protection. You need to restart your computer. System halted.". My system locks up on me then.

I'm an at-home webmaster, curious about how it is "in the real world". I will answer this question for myself, below (and you may check my answer by comparing to others of my Yahoo! answers, if you wish). Are you jack-of-all-trades, master of none, or do you master of all? Rate, very briefly and honestly (and anonymously, as we are, your level of expertise in:

(1) hardware

(2) systems software (e.g. Windows, Mac)

(3) client-side languages (e.g. xhtml, css, javascript)

(4) server-side languages (e.g., php, asp, cgi, perl, vbasic, c, etc.)

(5) specialty languages (e.g. blog, widgets)

(6) communications, networking

(7) mobile devices

(8) graphics

(9) ...what is your level of education (e.g. PHD, Comp.Sci)

*My* answers to all-of-the above would be superficial-to-moderate (and it seems I grow farther behind as each day passes.) I was offered a scholarship in advanced math but turned around and got a B.A. in English... Eh?

I had my old 8mm film from the 60s and 70s converted to dvds professionally recently and I need to make copies for family members. But they took all the film I had and put it all on to one dvd so it has all different occasions and time frames. I only want to make copies of portions, or a couple of the sections, of what was converted over. I don't want the entire contents copied. Is that possible? And if so how?

my computer is acting up and I dont know what do do about it whenever I type something wether it be in word, on the internet or whatever, nothing comes up for about 30seconds to a minute before the actual type comes up. In fact it is doing this right now!! I deleted cookies, ran a scan disk, deleted a few programs and I am lost now as to what to do. It is getting irritating. It has never done this in the past so I am confused. What is the cause and how do I fix it? I dont think it is a virus because everything else works fine. Like when I search for things on the net, everything runs fast
