I used the uninstaller from their website at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157

You should then be able to install Adobe Flash Player 9

go to http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&promoid=BIOW
Uncheck the Yahoo toolbar and click install now.

If the logo plays, you have flash installed. If not, check the knowledge base on Adobe's site for other causes
