you need to have a computer, modem and an isp or internet service provider, once you have these, you either plug the modem into a phone line or cable connection and then either dial in or in the case of cable, you are online a soon as the modem finishes powering up.

to connect yourself to the internet you'll need lots of expensive equipment, a neurosurgeon, a computer scientist, and a electrical engineer. oh yeah, and an ISP.
the electrical engineer will cooperate with the neurosurgeon to design and build the neural interface you'll need to install in your brain.
the computer scientist will load it and you with a customized operating system (a version of linux, of course)
the neurosurgeon will then integrate it into your frontal lobe.
all will stand by as you boot up in case there is a problem and to make necessary changes.
once you're up and running an ethernet cable will plug into one of your nostrils-probably the left one.
good luck! think me an email once you're set up.

Actually there is no such thing as the internet, the government fabricated the whole thing to make you think that we as a society are living in a more open information age....so forget about it, it doesn't exist.
