my wireless modem I can't download music at all for some unknown reason. I use DC++ (Direct Connect) Anyone know why this happens? I can still download files no problem at all with the wireless modem just not music.

when i go on some internet sites and try to send an email to them through there site i get asked what my POP, HTML,and sometimes the password my server has given me i dont understand all this i can send them easily enough from my own site can anyone explain this to me simply please i am not very good with computers ( if you had'nt already guessed )

I've got a folder on my computer that I can't delete or fully open. The problem, I think, is that I was burning my N.E.R.D. CD, and the folder is enititled "In Search Of.." I'm guessing the double period is messing with things. It's not a pressing matter, in fact it's been like that for a year or so. Can't change the name, move the folder, delete the folder, anything. Any help?

I'm trying to design a PHP page in dreamweaver so that I can test a message sent page. Basically, there will be some PHP code which directs an email message to my email client when I run that specific HTML page.

I'm having trouble understanding what I need to do this. I like to ask anyone who has experience ....

If fill a web form out(from my machine) and the results go to my email client (from my machine and if the code works) then would I need something like a mail server application?

Even if I install a mail server, do I still need SMTP and POP3 to send and receive on my computer?

So if I need to have SMTP and POP3 even if it for local use, will I need contact my ISP for 'settings' < I don't think so but I may be wrong here.

If I was to configure for local use would my settings be something like...

SMTP > smtp.localhost
POP3 > localhost

I sorry if this really technical, but I don't know anyone technical to talk to about this

Ok, so I deleted some documents I no longer need on my pc, but they still show up when using the search program from the start menu. When I try to delete these, it tells me: "Item not found. This is no longer located in C:/users/etc.... Verify the item's location and try again."

But since the file is no longer on my pc I don't have that option. How do I delete these "traces" of documents and files I have already deleted from my computer???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, i am a normal online gamer. i've always had this problem since the getgo. THe prob is everytime im facing some1 in any online gaming field my heart starts beating fast, i get kinda sweaty sometimes, i get nervous/intimidated/ etc... Causing me to loose the game. And i am also afraid of facing my friends, that totally puts me in a state of shock. I'm not saying im a geek or nerd in real life, just stating my problem. answer the ques in the followin order usin # plz
1) I want to buy a laptop that has genuine Windows Vista but I was wondering if it is possible to install pirated softwares like nero or photoshop or microsoft office 2003 n others on it if we have the serial n key for it which is not genuine.......
2) Also, is it possible to downgrade genuine Vista to a pirated copy of XP professional using BIOS when the computer satrts...??

My LG DVD re-writer works fine but my first burn hasn't gone as planned. First, the cyberlink power DVD software is slow and difficult to configure. Any suggestions on faster, more user friendly software downloads? Also, my video I'm recording is 1 hour and 45 minutes long and all of my DVD-R's are 2 hours. The message is the file is too large and so I'm stuck like chuck. Opened for answer,beginning...now !
