He is 19 years old. he likes all types of games, strategy, sport, war etc. Can you tell me a few of the good new ones. I know he already has civilization 4 and mediavial/rome total war as he told me not to get them. he uses a PC So which should i get?

I bought some cheap DVD-R's made by "Datawrite" . The first DVD i wrote was an mp3 one which worked fine. since i have tryed to burn DVD and data discs, nero told me of a "power callibration error" (i assume because my sony DVD writer didn't like the disc). Why did i burn in one format but not another??

Ever get the hourglass on your screen for 10 seconds and wonder what is going on in there to make your system run so slow? I would like to be able to get a log of what ran and when so I can investigate. I have used the Task Manager processes view but it is hard to keep track of the order processes are executing in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

when i try to play certain song it says windows media player cannot play file it might not support the file type or it might not support the codec that was used to compress the file can anyone help me to sort this out the pc was second hand, and bearing in mind i am no computer genius! ta in advance

i upgraded the memory today, and the computer's acting weird.
when i turn the computer on, it starts up. and when it's time to load startup programs, it will restart again, and it will do "disk check up" and then nothing shows up on screen, or sometimes it will start will few errors popping up

Things like that(file type pps) its the slideshows and pictures,the file doesnt open at all and keeps telling me to make an assocation folder in my outlook express? I dont know how to do that, i just know how to maintain a computer and run my virus stuff.Please help me cause people send me all this stuff and i would like to read it them and people say its not normal to not be able to open them.

and put it in my 500mhz emachine. My question is that, can I just add the stick of RAM 128 mb to an empty slot in my emachine(it is only 64 mb of RAM) so that I will have a total of 192 mb of RAM, or do I have to remove the 64 mb of ram from my emachine, and replace it with 128 MB of RAM...I don't wan to screw anything up. If anyone has done this...please explain and tell me how...any tips will be helpful
